At Atlantic Florida Dental we are committed to providing our patients with safe, effective dental treatment. To this end we utilize technologies that allow our practice to be more proactive in the care and handling of our patient’s dental health. Our office also utilizes the Velscope Oral Cancer Screening System. Technologies like these make it possible for our doctors and staff to diagnose problems earlier, provide more complete dental coverage, and reduce overall patient discomfort with safe, effective dental treatment which includes the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment.
WE UTILIZE THE FOLLOWING STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT:
i-CAT produces high definition 3D diagnostic images for ultimate treatment efficiency. From analysis, through planning and placement, to complete restoration, i-CAT® allows clinicians surgical predictability with treatment planning in full 3D with restorative outcomes in mind. i-CAT’s high resolution, volumetric images provide complete 3D views for more thorough analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation.
Digital Radiography (DR) or (DX) is essentially filmless X-ray image capture. In place of X-ray film, a digital image capture device is used to record the X-ray image and make it available as a digital file that can be presented for interpretation and saved as part of the patient’s medical record. The advantages of DR over film include immediate image preview and availability, a wider dynamic range which makes it more forgiving for over- and underexposure as well as the ability to apply special image processing techniques that enhance overall display of the image.
CEREC (One Hour Porcelain Crowns)
Most dental restorative methods require more than one visit to the dentist. This means that on the first visit, you get an injection of anesthesia, your tooth prepared, an impression taken, and a temporary restoration put on your tooth. You make a second appointment for a couple of weeks later, get another injection, have the temporary pried off and have a permanent restoration put on. With CEREC, the procedure is done in a single appointment, start to finish. With CEREC, the Dentist can use strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function.
The Periotest device is the most widely used instrument for measuring osseointegration of dental implants. This device provides our dentists the ability to quickly and simply assess if an implant is ready to be restored. In addition our device allows us the ability to proactively combat periimplantits.
